Tired but Wired: How to Navigate Postpartum Exhaustion Without Overwhelm
Tired but wired? 😵💫
It’s like you finally get a moment to rest… but your mind won’t switch off. So here you are, scrolling. Relaxing but not really relaxing.
Here are two super easy ways to settle your nervous system and drop you into a beautifully relaxed state.
(I actually have more, but let’s start with these, and I’ll share the rest another time 😉).
✨ 1. Hum Your Way to Calm
Humming activates your vagus nerve, (your built-in stress reliever), signaling your body to shift from wired to relaxed. The yogis have been using this breathwork practice for eons, they call it Bhramari Pranayama, but let’s keep it simple because I know you are more likely to hum your favourite song then sit down to do 5 rounds of breath work.
Try it: inhale deeply, exhale with a long, low hum, and feel what it does to your system. tension melt.
💛 2. Heart Connection—Your Built-In Love Medicine
When you drop into your heart, you literally change your brain chemistry. Every cuddle, every feed, every moment of deep presence releases oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine—your body’s natural relaxation cocktail.
Try it now, you don’t even need to be with your baby. Just think about how much you love them, feel what it does to your heart, and your entire being. Ugh so dreamy.
Please try these on. Let me know how they feel for you. And stay tuned—I have two more incredible practices to share with you soon. 💛✨
